Besakih Temple

Location: Location in  Besakih Village, Rendang Sub-district, Karangasem District.

Distance from airport: It is about 2 hours away from Bali’s International Airport by car to the east part of Bali and right located in Besakih.

Description: Bali Besakih Temple is the biggest Hindu temple in Bali which the local people call Pura Besakih. It owns beautiful view from the top of temple area where we can see the wide nature panorama until to the ocean so that way this temple is many visited by tourists from all over the world.


Tanah Lot Temple

Location: Located precisely in countryside of Beraban, district of Kediri, sub-province of Tabanan.

Distance from airport: Distance from Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) to Tanah Lot Temple About 20 km.

Description: Tanah Lot is a rock formation off the Indonesian island of Bali,Tanah Lot visited by one million of domestic and foreign tourist every year, so that Tanah Lot becoming one of the tourism icon in Bali. All of that thing because of Tanah Lot have different characteristic with the other, that is ; looks like a floating one if the tide is high but when tide is low, people can walk to the temple.


Uluwatu Temple

Location: Pura Uluwatu is located in Pecatu Village, Kuta sub-district, Badung Regency.

Distance from airport: Distance from Ngurah Rai International Airport to Uluwatu Temple About 30 km.

Description: Uluwatu Temple, or Pura Luhur Uluwatu, one of six key temples believed to be Bali’s spiritual pillars, is renowned for its magnificent location, perched on top of a steep cliff approximately 70 metres above sea level.  Without a doubt, what makes Uluwatu Temple spectacular is its cliff-top setting at the edge of a plateau 250 feet above the waves of the Indian Ocean.

Goa Lawah Temple

Location: This cave is located in Pasinggahan countryside, Dawan sub district, Klungkung Regency.

Distance from airport: Distance from Ngurah Rai International Airport is about 1.5 hours to arrive in Goa Lawah Tample.

Description: Goa Lawah temple is one of favorite places of interest in Bali and it is located near of hilly bank so it is called reef of Middle hill. There is a nature cave dwelt by thousands of tail bat located at north side from Jeroan/center of Gua Lawah Temple.


Lempuyang Luhur Temple

Location: Located in the northeast of Mount Agung, District Abang, Karangasem Regency.

Distance from airport: From Ngurah Rai Airport about 2 ¾ hour drive to reach Lempuyang Luhur Tample.

Description: The Pura Lempuyang Luhur is a beautiful but small temple on the hill Seraya. Pura is a Balinese Hindu temple and it is the place for followers of Balinese Hinduism in Indonesia, where one goes to pray.
Once you manage to come up, you will not regret all the efforts, because the temple is really nice and it has a great variety of interesting values of the Hindu religion.The entire temple complex consists of seven temples of which the highest is at 1,058 meters high.


Ulun Danu Batur Temple

Location: Located in Batur Village, Kintamani Sub district, Bangli District.

Distance from airport: From Ngurah Rai Airport about 2 hour drive to reach Ulun Danu Batur Tample.

Description: Ulun Danu Tample and the village of Batur were located down in the caldera, at the foot of the Bali Batur volcano. After the volcano erupted violently in 1926, both the village and the temple were destroyed except for the most important shrine, an 11-tiered meru dedicated to Dewi Batari Ulun Danu. The villagers moved to the highest and oldest rim of the caldera where they rebuilt their village and the temple.

Sakenan Temple

Location:  Located in the northwest of Serangan Village, Sub district of Denpasar and Badung Regency.

Distance from airport: From Airport Ngurah Rai only 30 minutes.

Description: The structure of Sakenan Temple is divided into 2 groups those are Sakenan Temple is a temple complex which is located in east side and Dalem Sakenan Temple is a temple complex located in west side. According to the papyrus of Dwijendra Tattwa, the name of Sakenan is coming from the word of Sakya means to earn direct unite the mind. This papyrus elaborates that Danghyang Nirartha got stuck and feeling natural beauty of calm sea with the nature of its coast.

Rambut Siwi Temple

Location: Located in Jembrana regency, east of Yeh Embang village, Mendoyo district.

Distance from airport: From Ngurah Rai Airport about 2 hour drive to reach Rambut Siwi Tample.

Description: Local peoples believe that they have to worshipped this temple to get a God bless of securing during the Journey. The Main temple located in cliff bank and blessed by the breath taking view of the Indian ocean. This temples owns the representative temple building which is set beside main road of Denpasar to Gilimanuk. Name of Rambut Siwi is contain of a relic which is a lock of sage’s hair (rambut) that is venerated (siwi).


Alas Kedaton Temple

Location: Located in Kukuh Village, Sub distric Marga, Tabanan Regency.

Distance from airport: From Ngurah Rai Airport about 1 hour drive to reach Alas Kedaton Tample.

Description: Alas Kedaton temple is a megalithic sacred Bali Hindu temple relics of ancient times, Alas Kedaton Temple Bali and monkey forest has also become one the favorite places to visit for tourists in addition to the tourist attractions Tanah Lot Temple and Ulun Danu Beratan Temple as well as Batukaru Temple in Tabanan Bali.



Watu Karu Temples

Location: Located at Wangaya Gede countryside, Penebel District and Tabanan regency, and west part of Bali Island.

Distance from airport: From Ngurah Rai Airport about 1,5 hour drive to reach Watu Karu Tample.

Description: Luhur watukaru temple or pura batukaru is one of the biggest Hindu Temples in Bali (Sad Kahyangan) with Catur Lokapala Temple and Padma Bhuwana Temple status. It is set in the plateau area with lush tropical rain forest surround it. It is situated in the peaceful area which is far from the local resident that is ideally for worship. There are some temple building spread out through the tranquility of rain forest and the big mountain of Batukaru as a back drop.
