The Indian Cultural Centre, Consulate General of India, Bali in collaboration with the Yoga Community in Bali, SegerOger hold a pre-event of International Day of Yoga on 4th June 2017. The International Day of Yoga is celebrated on 21 of June every year, this year Consulate General of India, Bali will be celebrating International of Yoga on Sunday, 18 June 2017.
Yoga is a 5,000-year-old physical, mental and spiritual practice. Its origin in India which Aims to transform both body and mind. Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi asked the world leaders to adopt an International Yoga Day, saying that by changing lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help us deal with climate change, addressing the 193-member UN General Assembly in United Nations. On 11 December 2014, the United Nations General Assembly declared June 21st as the International Day of Yoga.
In Bali, to promote the upcoming International Day of Yoga which will held on 18 June 2017 at Braja Sandhi Park (Renon Park), Indian Cultural Centre, Consulate General of India, Bali, held the pre-event international day of Yoga at Braja Sandhi Park attended by Consul G eneral of India, Bali, Mr. R.O Sunil Babu, the Director of JNICC (The Jawaharlal Nehru Indian Cultural Centre, Jakarta) Mr. Makarand Shukla, ICC (Indian Cultural Centre, Bali) dance teacher, Mrs. Preeti Sinha. During this function, Mr ArunYevle JNICC Yoga teacher demonstrated Command Yoga Protocol to all participant.
